Jonathan congratulates Aregbesola over Osun election victory

Mr. Jonathan said the election, preceded by a massive security clampdown and arrests of several political leaders, reaffirmed his commitment to free, fair and peaceful conduct of the elections. The president commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and national security agencies for ensuring that the elections were free, fair, credible and peaceful in keeping with the avowed commitment of his administration.
